Sportsmanship

Zero Tolerance Policy

We will have a zero-tolerance policy for anyone on the field.  We will not allow yelling and disrespectful behavior towards referee’s coaches, or players.  Anyone engaged in those activities will be asked to go up to the Skydeck or leave the facility. Any serious behavior, including swearing, threatening, or fighting, will result in forfeiture of the game, removal from the league, and being banned from the facility.  We ask all the coaches to get this message out to parents to ensure the best possible environment for the children.

Coaches

Your behavior sets the tone for your team.  If you have questions about a call, please speak to the referee respectfully and preferably at halftime or after the game.  If you have a bigger issue that needs to be escalated, please contact Matt Ganias at matt@soccerasylum.com. You are the first line of defense to control players and parents. The better you manage the parents, the better the experience for your children.

Parents

Anyone who yells or questions a referee will be asked to go up to the Skydeck or leave the facility. Any serious behavior, including swearing, threatening, or fighting, will result in forfeiture of the game, removal from the league, and being banned from the facility.  We ask all the coaches to get this message out to parents to ensure the best possible environment for the children. Games will now be stopped if there are negative comments towards referees, and the coaches will need to have the parent go to the Skydeck. If further yelling occurs, they will have to leave the facility.  Games will be forfeited if parents do not comply with the request to leave.

Players

We will not allow players to yell at, criticize, or disrespect officials. Players will be yellow-carded and asked to leave the field for their first offense.  The player can only re-enter once their coach has spoken to them and they are under control.  Second offense will be a red car and suspension.
